So, I have a friend of mine who started a blog called "Lost in Translation: A Guys Guide to a Girls World." When I started reading it, I found many things I liked in her blog, so I sent the link of it to most of the people in my contact list, including guys, saying it was a good one. Well, some people got a little miffed, and not just the guys I sent it too. If I hurt anyone's feelings, or just made them ticked, I sincerely apologize.
The rational stated on another blog I follow is that girls shouldn't ask guys to try and understand them, since it's not quite worth the headache. While I see why the author said that, because it really is too much to ask guys to try and fully understand girls, on the other hand guys could just try to understand girls without the girls asking them too. I mean, marriages work because of mutual respect and at least a good, if not an excellent, understanding. With cross-gender friendships and , these qualities can work too.
What it seems is that some took that blog to mean that the guys have to do all the work, which really shouldn't be the case. Rather, both sides need to work on it; guys, if you do happen to find my friend's suggestions helpful, you can use them, but don't do all the work in your friendship or boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Girls, you have to also work at it. The guys can't do everything, and you're not perfect. If something is wrong, and it involves both of you, then both of you work it out. :)
Btw, here's the post that brought up the email I sent, and that author's opinion on the subject:

Welcome to my blog!
Hello ya'll! As is probably obvious, I created this blog so that I could vent out my frustrations to the whole world!!! Lol, ok, that's not the entire reason (although it is a popular reason to create blogs). On this site, I will write things expressing my opinion on world news; social interactions; the oddities of man; and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of which I'm a member, as well as my thoughts based on whatever is on my mind that day. You'll also find pieces of my writing posted here from time to time, seeing as I plan on being a book-published author in the future (and I shall write a better novel than Twilight! Mwa ha ha ha!!!).
So, anyways, enjoy my site! :) Oh, and please feel free to comment on anything you read up here; I love feedback! (Well, as long as it's not the flaming kind that is really of no value to anyone)
